A pass isn't a mirror of loyalty data — it's the redemption instrument itself: the barcode doubles as a Shopify discount code (valid at online checkout and Shopify POS), scans at a counter, and — uniquely in this group — also works at a Square register, through the API, or via Zapier for everything else you sell through. The minimal option: branded passes that auto-generate with orders, show live stats (order count, total spent, any customer metafield), and let staff scan at POS to pull up the customer. Cheap and focused at $4.99/month. What it doesn't do: the pass carries no discount — nothing redeems at checkout — and there's no points/rewards mechanic. JeriCommerce
The deepest Shopify-native loyalty platform of the group: points, VIP tiers, referrals, birthday rewards, NFC and QR identification at Shopify POS, a checkout extension, Klaviyo and Shopify Flow automation, 19 languages. The wallet pass is the loyalty card of that larger system — and it's genuinely well done. Priced accordingly: the free plan caps at 50 cards and 50 transactions; real usage lands on Growth ($49/month) or Advanced ($149/month) plus overage charges. The broadest all-in-one: loyalty, paid memberships, affiliates, store credit, gift cards, contests, with 25+ integrations and well-reviewed support (4.9 from 82 reviews, Built for Shopify badge). Note the fine print for this page's topic: Apple & Google Wallet passes are not on the free tier — they arrive with the Pay-as-you-Go plan at $49/month (1,000 orders included, then $0.15/order). If you want Toki's whole retention suite anyway, the pass comes along; if you mainly want the pass, you're buying a suite to get it.
